Yes. Commissions are calculated on the actual transaction amount, so discounted purchases, student licenses, and promotional pricing all generate commissions proportionally.
If a customer uses a site-wide coupon or purchases a student license at a reduced price, you still earn 15% of whatever they pay. Upgrade purchases (e.g., from a starter license to a full license) also generate commissions.
Yes — the minimum payout threshold is $25. If your earned commissions haven’t reached $25 by the end of a payment cycle, the balance rolls over to the next month until the threshold is met.
Most active partners reach this threshold within their first month. Your running balance is always visible in the partner dashboard.
Commissions are paid monthly. We calculate earnings for the previous calendar month and issue payments by the 15th of the following month. For example, commissions earned in March are paid by April 15th.
There is a standard 30-day holding period after each sale to account for potential refunds before the commission is finalized. Your real-time earnings (including pending commissions) are always visible in the dashboard.
We support three payment methods:
- PayPal — fastest option, works worldwide
- Bank wire transfer — available globally (your bank may charge a receiving fee)
- ACH direct deposit — for US-based partners
All amounts are paid in USD. You can set your preferred payment method in the partner dashboard at any time.
Every partner gets unique UTM-tagged links for each product. When someone clicks your link, a tracking cookie is placed in their browser. Any purchase they make while the cookie is active is attributed to you.

- Paid search on our brand terms — don’t bid on “FontLab,” “Vexy Lines,” “TransType,” or variations as keywords in Google Ads, Bing Ads, or similar platforms
- Cookie stuffing or forced clicks — any technique that generates clicks or sets cookies without genuine user intent
- Spam — unsolicited bulk email, social media spam, or comment spam
- Misleading claims — don’t fabricate discounts, fake reviews, or misrepresent product features or pricing
- Coupon fraud — don’t create or distribute unauthorized coupon codes, or claim credit for organic traffic through fake “coupon” pages
- Trademark misuse — don’t register domain names containing “FontLab” or use our trademarks beyond provided materials
Honest reviews (including critical ones), tutorials, comparison articles, educational content, video demos, and genuine recommendations are all encouraged.
No. You focus entirely on content creation and promotion. Once a customer clicks your link and arrives on our site, FontLab handles everything:
- Purchase process and payment
- License delivery and activation
- Technical support
- Refund requests
If a refund is issued, the corresponding commission is deducted from your next payout. Our refund rate is low (under 3%) because all our products have free trial versions — most customers know what they’re buying.
We don’t require you to have a registered business entity to join the program. Individual creators, freelancers, and hobbyists are welcome.
However, partner income is taxable in most jurisdictions regardless of your business structure. Here’s what we need:
- US-based partners: a completed W-9 form
- International partners: equivalent tax documentation as required by your country
